The Soul Of Seoul... Part III

After ticking off Insadong on my list, I headed to Myeongdong, one of the hippiest districts of Seoul.

On the way to Myeongdong...

My first view of Namsan Seoul Tower...

Walking through an alleyway in Myeongdong...
Myeongdong is named after Myeong (or bright cave) and is located in the Jung-gu district of Seoul...

Origins of Myeongdong date back to the Joseon Dynasty - it was then a residential area called Myeongryebang. Under the Japanese occupation, the name of the area was changed to Myeongchijeong and evolved into a commercial district. It was later renamed as Myeongdong...

An interesting building...

A church in Myeongdong...

The evening rush hour begins...

Time for people to head home...

I quite loved this lane...

An interesting brick wall...

A market in Myeongdong...

I am not yet hungry...

A pink suitcase - only a girl can have it!

A hotel doorman!

I was tired. And I barely spent 15 minutes in Myeongdong, before decide to head back!

Headed back to Songdo, Incheon...
I am sure I need to come back to Myeongdong to explore more, the half an hour was barely enough!
