A Drive Around Babeldaob...

From Koror city, we headed back to the Japan Palau Friendship Bridge, crossing into Babeldaob Island. Instead of turning right towards Airai, we headed straight north - our intention was to drive around the island, 40 kilometres or so, to head back to our hotel.
In the process, we wanted to catch glimpses of the island and the sunset on the way!

Moving out of Koror city, with some lovely music on a local FM channel...

This drive gave a glimpse of Babeldaob's rich and lush vegetation...
And we loved the music - local Palauan music and some international hits...

Driving on these roads is such a pleasure - good music, scenic route, open skies, green surroundings and no traffic!

Mmmm, those lovely fiery skies at sunset...

And I couldn't help but sing the timeless John Denver classic "Country Roads, Take Me Home..."

And the sun sets, an end to an exciting day in Palau...
