Les Charmes de Fontainebleau...

As we get ready to leave Fontainebleau for Paris early tomorrow, I biked around this lovely commune for one last time, soaking in all the charms that Fonty has on offer...



Two hours at the Grand Canal were well spent - that gave me a good time to reflect on life, on nature and this lovely trip...


That left me with quite an appetite, so I grudgingly moved, after having one last look at the Grand Canal...

One of the iconic symbols of Fonty, the Carousel at Place Napoleon Bonaparte...



The premium Aigle Noir Hotel on Place Napoleon Bonaparte was built in the fifteenth century. This former mansion was the residence of nobles who accompanied the French monarchs during their stay in Fontainebleau...
Under the reign of Louis XV, the mansion was converted into a luxury hotel to accommodate dignitaries in the historic city...
