Plane Spotting At DCA



The boat ride from Mount Vernon into Washington DC came with an unexpected blessing - a good long round of Plane Spotting...




A bright day was definitely a big, big plus...


An American Embraer E190 on its approach into the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)... 


American Eagle Bombardier CRJ700...




A Southwest Boeing 737 at DCA...




A view of the airside of DCA...


And I spot Delta, United and American...





An American Eagle E190 on the taxiway...






A United Airbus A319 on short-finals...



The United Airbus A320 taxis towards the gate...



On The Potomac...



On the way back from Mount Vernon, I chose to stay on the upper deck of the ferry to enjoy the stunning views as the boat sailed upstream into the District...



A speedboat makes its way on the Potomac...



It is indeed a stunning day...





A group of high school kids led by their teachers were on the upper deck...



Approaching the District...





That seems to be some kind of fair going on...



And the best - an unexpected round of Plane Spotting with planes on their final approaches into the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) - that deserves a dedicated Plane Spotting post...




A stunning sky...



A view of the Washington Monument...


The shadows come and go...




What a splendid place...





And we reached!
