Am back at Changi back for my flight to Incheon after a hectic but delightful, short trip to Singapore...

And clearly this isn't the peak hour here!

Back at my hotel from my day of exhausting meetings and a relaxing high tea at the Raffles, I had few hours to kill before my flight back to Incheon from Changi...

And just then there is a heavy torrential downpour, one of the many unpredictable wet Singaporean evenings!

And I peer into the skyline, awestruck on how this mosquito infested trading outpost became what it is today - a Little Red Spot which is the envy of many...

Perhaps, it has been the result of a single minded passion to see the betterment of its people, reining in corruption for the common man on the street and stability of policy...

And in no way one can discount the system of meritocracy that had been put in place for civil servants, with salaries that rival the private sector to ensure the best talent is attracted...

And some funny news in the Straits Times - pork futures in China!!!!!

And it's almost time to head to Changi!

I Don't Want Nirvana! I Want Great Food, Always! -- Part XXXVI - Back To The Tiffin Room...

No visit to Singapore is complete without a ritual visit to the Raffles Hotel's Tiffin Room for their afternoon special, high tea! And as I savoured the treats here, I missed Neeti who absolutely adores the high tea here - she couldn't join me on this trip here! 

The place hasn't changed since our first visit here in August 2014 - the same colonial grandeur and impeccable service. 

And here come the amazing bites - the sandwiches are an absolute treat!

Warm scones with clotted cream, an absolute delight...

...followed by a classic cu of steaming hot tea!

And the amazing corridors! May I say "I Don't Want Nirvana! I Want Great Food, Always!"...

A Delightful Singapore Morning...

A quick breakfast - Singapore style, no - I am not referring to the kaya toasts, with soft boiled eggs and Kopi-O's...

This is a lime omelette with exotic stuff from the region - kaffir lime leaves and dried shrimp besides other ingredients. The flavours were indeed exotic. And I paired the omelette with dried sausages - lap cheong and shrimp paste - sambal belacan...

Wow - Din Tai Fung next to a bak kut teh restaurant - bak kut teh was my first meal in Singapore, in August 2014!

And now I am on my way to my meetings!

That Lovely Singapore Feeling...

A crazy day of meetings and presentations got over and that was perfect time to head out and meet old friends here...

I loved the architecture of this building, adding in tiered dashes of green...

At Farrer Park MRT - Kareena Kapoor's displays for Malabar Gold says Little India ain't far!!!!

I had the EZ-link cards from our previous visits here in 2014 and 2015 - familiarity with the city and the widespread use of English indeed made it a pleasure to be here, a convenience we crave for in Korea...
