A Morning In The Fragrant Harbour....

This morning, I headed to Lan Kwai Fong to meet a friend and I wanted to soak in the Hong Kong experience, again, on a tram.

Waiting for the tram at Des Voeux Road West...

Artwork at the Ruttonjee Centre on Duddell Street...
The building is named after Jehangir Hormusjee Ruttonjee, a Mumbai born Parsi businessman who shifted base to Hong Kong...

It's well past rush hour now...
And the traffic has eased...

Neeti and I took the Peak Tram from here in 2010...
Gawd! I'm missing her on this HK sojourn..

High-end boutiques and showrooms are everywhere...

At one point, only Hong Kong, Tokyo and Taipei were seen as destinations for luxe products...

The red cabs...

A bit disorderly...
Feel Hong Kong has a bit deteriorated in standards since our last visit..,

The Coach store...

He looks a bit bored...

A mural...

Queen's Road...

A nice place to sit and have a coffee with an egg tart...

A Wing On store...

Waiting for a tram to take me back..,

Here comes a tram...

I am curious....

Old trams have been restored to function and coexist with the modern transport systems like Hong Kong's MRT...

...and swanky double-deckers...

A public service message on a tram - Hong Kong stores will start charging for plastic bags, which isn't a bad idea...

High-rise apartments...

People pay millions for apartments like these...

A shortage of space and tiny apartments have forced Hong Kong residents in this fashion...

Every inch of land is worth a lot here...

In a sense, Hong Kong reminds me of Mumbai...
