Vibrant Colours Of Autumn... Part I

And finally we reached reached Nami Island or "Naminara Republic" as the marketeers call it. We came here with a hell lot of expectations to views the lovely bright colours of autumn...

Nami Island or Namisum is a tiny 0.43 square kilometres half-moon shaped island which was formed when the North Han River was dammed with the construction of the Cheongpyeong Dam in 1944. The island was named after General Nami, an army general of the Joseon Dynasty, who led a victory against rebels during the mid-1400s. The General died at the age of 28 after being falsely accused of treason and his body was supposed to be buried here.
But today this area is a reforested paradise for recreational activities...

Nami was full of visitors, all of whom had come to look at the vibrant colours of autumn...

The first flaming tree we saw...

Nami has been the location of many Korean movies and television soaps...

The colours look so magical...

We were absolutely enthralled and speechless...

Yellow, green and red...

I never saw these kind of colours back home in India...

And as rays of sun filter through, they take a reddish hue...

Almost everyone here was mesmerized...

An amazing tree...

Nature never ceases to amaze...

We got crazy with our shutter...

It was such a wonderful afternoon to be outdoors...

And kids too were having a great time...
