More Postcards From Chinatown....

Chinatown was an incredibly interesting place to watch life zip past you, an interesting blend of what Singapore was in the past and what it is becoming....

These narrow streets were the veins of commerce in Singapore in the yesteryears....

Pedestrianised, these streets sell knick-knacks for tourists....

Oh dear! I didn't know vegetarian was kosher in Chinatown!!!

Penang Food.... wow! I had remind myself I was on a budget - I couldn't eat here...
Penang, an island in Malaysia has endlessly fascinated me after seeing TV shows of Bobby Chinn, Anthony Bourdain and others....
Penang is a melting pot of cultures and that has resulted in a distinct culinary potboiler - a unique cuisine.... Man, I need to visit Penang soon....

Sweet Musings - I indulged and had a delectable scoop of durian ice cream here....

Lovely durian again.... I feel in love with its unique sweetness....

As I stood appreciating the building, this lady with incredible hair moved into my frame... These Chinese have lovely hair and great skin.... I envy that...

Chinatown was getting decked up to honour Chang'e on the Autumn Moon Festival....

Durians again.... This kind of craze is seen for Alphonso mangoes in Mumbai....

Crossing the road....

I've almost reached my next stop - the Singapore Coins & Notes Museum on Pagoda Street....
