Plane Spotting At GMP

We are on the road again, heading for Jeju island this time. A short one hour hop down the Korean peninsula on board Eastarjet's Boeing 737 will get us to Jeju. And with a flight delay of 30 minutes, I have quite a lot of time for Plane Spotting - I am definitely not complaining...

Our flight will take us from Seoul's Gimpo International Airport to Jeju today. Gimpo was built during the early 1940s during Japanese occupation of the Korean peninsula and became South Korea's premier airport until Incheon International Airport was opened up in 2001. But instead of shutting Gimpo down, it was retained as a domestic and regional airport while Incheon was positioned as a global transit hub...
