Postcards From Osaka...

Our hectic day in Osaka came to an end a short while back and it is time reflect back on a few interesting moments...

Photography wasn't allowed inside the "3 COINS" store in the Umeda station, but I managed to take a pic of those "lovely" lines that the marketer here came up with...

"Everytime I pass by, I stop by.
Everytime I look here, I find it.
Everyday I'm happy.
Inside are little pieces of happiness.
Even when I'm returning, I'm smiling"

I must admit that these lines are a bit creepy from a consumer's perspective...

Can you trap a Marwari here?

In this part of the world people are always on the cellphone...

The Umeda area is all lit up...

...and is buzzing with people...

Modernity is probably not defined by whether citizens use cars or not but by use of public transport and bicycles, despite being able to afford cars!

Street views in Umeda area...

Interesting lighting on the building...

Oh no... Hello Kitty again!

How did I forget I am in Hello Kitty land?

Japanese pottery...

I am in love with the cabs here - Toyotas from the 1990s...

...and tux-clad drivers who love India!!!!
