DC, By Night... Part I

I am really thankful to Joe for having suggested that I take a night-time illumination bus tour of the District, it gave me a very different perspective of this historic city!

The Capitol dome glistens in the lighting, like a magnificent temple...

...a magnificent temple of democracy!

And the dome is so beautiful and I hope the "Designated Survivor" never plays out...

The view is worth every penny, dime and nickel I spent on this evening tour...

And here in this grand residence called the White House. the state dinner in honour of the Italian prime minister is currently on...

A view of the Capitol from the distance...

Back to the National World War II Memorial...

A view of the Washington Monument...

The war memorial looked amazing with the lights...

The Stars and Stripes...

Zooming in on the Lincoln Memorial...

Passing by the Jefferson Memorial...

Back to the Roosevelt Memorial...

Viewing the memorial at night gives an entirely different perspective...
