An Excursion To Suva...

And this morning, we began our journey to visit Fiji's capital, Suva...

Suva is nearly 200 kilometres away from Denarau, in Nadi where we are staying. The journey typically takes around 3 hours on the Queen's Road and takes us past Sigatoka and the Pacific Harbour. On the way, we go past some amazing green landscapes and get some stunning views of Viti Levu's southern coastline...

Stopping by for a quick snack that these lovely ladies were selling in Vatukarasa - boiled corn. Slightly salted, the boiled corn was full of natural flavours and just the right thing for us...

Passing by Korolevu Airport...

Korolevu, which was known as Fiji's Riveria, was the main hub of tourism activity in the 1950s and 1960s. In those days, tourists used to fly in, right here to Korolevu Airport...
